Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-treatment method of a metal cyano complex with absorbed radioactive cesium, which performs stable treatment while avoiding thermorunaway and which avoids the volatilization and diffusion of the radioactive cesium and unexpected reaction of heat generation and combustion during heating, so as to convert the metal cyano complex after absorbing the radioactive cesium into a chemically stable material.SOLUTION: A metal cyano complex with absorbed radioactive cesium is decomposed by superheated steam treatment and its metal components are converted into oxide, so that the metal cyano complex becomes stable. Therefore, while thermorunaway is avoided, the volatilization and diffusion of the radioactive cesium and unexpected reaction of heat generation and combustion during heating can be avoided, so that the radioactive cesium can be stably stored and managed. Moreover, elution of the cesium due to contact with water is avoided by extracting the cesium from the metal cyano complex after the superheated steam treatment and making the cesium re-adsorbed by a stabilization adsorbent, so that the more stable storage becomes possible.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】放射性セシウムが吸着した金属シアノ錯体の後処理方法において、熱暴走などを回避しつつ安定的に処理し、放射性セシウムシアンの揮発・放散や、予期せぬ加熱時の発熱、燃焼反応を回避して、放射性セシウムを吸着した後の金属シアノ錯体を化学的に安定な物質に変換する方法を提供する。【解決手段】放射性セシウムが吸着した金属シアノ錯体を過熱水蒸気処理して、該金属シアノ錯体を分解し、かつ金属成分を酸化物に変換することにより、金属シアノ錯体を安定化する。これにより、熱暴走などを回避しつつ、放射性セシウムシアンの揮発・放散や、予期せぬ加熱時の発熱、燃焼反応を回避することができ、安定的に放射性セシウムを保管管理することができる。さらに、過熱水蒸気処理した金属シアノ錯体から、セシウムを抽出し、安定化吸着剤に再吸着させることにより、水との接触によるセシウム溶出を回避するなど、さらに安定的に保管することも可能となる。【選択図】図2 |
