Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission capable of supplying a necessary oil amount to a loading mechanism at proper timing with good responsiveness, and capable of avoiding deterioration of efficiency by preventing excessive pressing.SOLUTION: A toroidal-type continuously variable transmission includes: a hydraulic power source 130 for supplying an oil to a loading mechanism 80 at a predetermined discharge pressure; an accumulator 116 for compensating the discharge pressure of the hydraulic power source 130 by an accumulated pressure; a pressure control valve 104 for controlling the discharge pressure of the hydraulic power source 130; a hydraulic line 150 for supplying a pressure oil from the hydraulic power source 130 to both the loading mechanism 80 and the accumulator 116; and control means 114 for controlling the pressure control valve 104. The control means 114 sets a minimum loading pressure of the loading mechanism 80 by controlling the pressure control valve 104 according to the accumulated pressure level of the accumulator 116.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
