Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that in an image forming apparatus including a fixing part in which a roller is heated by an external heating member and a toner image is fixed to a recording material by the heat of the roller, offset toner is adhered to the external heating member.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an image forming part, the fixing part which includes a roller, a heating member which comes into contact with the roller, and a backup member which comes into contact with the roller, to form a nip part and heats a recording material on which a toner image is formed, while conveying it in the nip part, to fix the toner image to the recording material, a temperature detection part which detects the temperature of the heating member, and a control part which controls power supplied to the heating member, so that the detection temperature of the temperature detection part becomes target temperature. The control part makes the target temperature in at least a partial first period in a period in which the nip part is an interval between a preceding recording material and a following recording material higher than the target temperature in a second period in which the recording material is conveyed in the nip part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
【課題】 外部加熱部材によってローラが加熱され、そのローラの熱によってトナー像を記録材に定着する定着部を有する画像形成装置において、オフセットトナーが外部加熱部材に付着するという課題がある。【解決手段】 画像形成部と、ローラと、前記ローラに接触する加熱部材と、前記ローラに接触しニップ部を形成するバックアップ部材と、を有し、前記ニップ部で前記トナー像が形成された記録材を搬送しながら加熱し前記トナー像を記録材に定着する定着部と、前記加熱部材の温度を検知する温度検知部と、前記温度検知部の検知温度が目標温度になるように前記加熱部材に供給する電力を制御する制御部と、を備える画像形成装置において、前記制御部は、前記ニップ部が先行する記録材と後続する記録材とのインターバルになる期間の内少なくとも一部の第1の期間における前記目標温度を前記ニップ部で記録材を搬送する第2の期間における前記目標温度よりも高くする。【選択図】 図17 |
