PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a jam of a sheet while stably holding the sheet on a platen by sucking the same.SOLUTION: A printer includes a first support part, an ink receiving part in the downstream side and a second support part, and can selectively perform a first mode in which a margin-remaining print is performed near a sheet end in the state in which the sheet end is supported by the second support part, or a second mode in which the margin-less print is performed near the sheet end in the state in which the sheet end is not supported by the second support part and is positioned on the ink receiving part in the downstream side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18 【課題】プラテン上でシートを吸引して安定保持させつつ、且つシートのジャムの発生を抑制する。【解決手段】プリント装置は第１の支持部、下流側インク受容部、第２の支持部を有し、シート先端が第２の支持部で支持された状態でシート先端付近に縁有りプリントを行う第１モードと、シート先端が第２の支持部で支持されず下流側インク受容部の上に位置する状態でシート先端付近に縁無しプリントを行う第２モードとを選択して実行することが可能である。【選択図】図１８
