Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a platen capable of reliably performing a margin-less print on sheets having various sizes.SOLUTION: A platen 9 includes support parts 14 capable of supporting a sheet, suction chambers 62 for supplying a negative pressure to bring the sheet facing the support parts 14 into contact with the support parts 14 by suction, and an ink receiving part for receiving the ink discharged from a print head on the outside of the sheet supported by the support parts 14.
