Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required for an electronic device to acquire the latest content from a content distribution apparatus.SOLUTION: A system is configured by connecting an electronic device and an information distribution apparatus over a network, to allow the electronic device to acquire distributed display information from the information distribution apparatus. The electronic device includes event management means of notifying the information distribution apparatus about an occurrence of an event when a predetermined event occurs in the electronic device, and changing acquisition frequency of the electronic device acquiring the distributed information. The information distribution apparatus includes: event processing means which starts generating distributed information relating to the event, on receipt of a notification about the occurence of the event from the electronic device; and distribution means of transmitting the distributed information generated in response to a request from the electronic device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
