PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required for an electronic device to acquire the latest content from a content distribution apparatus.SOLUTION: A system is configured by connecting an electronic device and an information distribution apparatus over a network, to allow the electronic device to acquire distributed display information from the information distribution apparatus. The electronic device includes event management means of notifying the information distribution apparatus about an occurrence of an event when a predetermined event occurs in the electronic device, and changing acquisition frequency of the electronic device acquiring the distributed information.
