Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin and compact pilot type solenoid valve that can be adapted for an internal exhaust type and an external exhaust type.SOLUTION: A pilot type solenoid valve 1 comprises a pilot valve part 2 having a fixed iron core 22 and a movable iron core 18, and a flow passage block body 3 formed with a valve seat to which a diaphragm valve body abuts or moves away from it. The pilot valve part 2 has an NO port 13, a common port 14 and an NC port 15. The flow passage block body 3 is formed with an input port 49, an output port 50, a back chamber, an NO flow passage 45, a common flow passage 46, an NC flow passage 47, an external exhaust flow passage 48 and an internal exhaust flow passage 59.
