Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire retardant solid lubricant suppressing gasification of a lubricant without needs for additional feeding of the gasified lubricant, reducing risk of ignition or inflammation along with gasification, thereby reducing generation of carbon dioxide, exhibiting suitable fire retardancy, further enhancing measuring property of the lubricant, reducing contamination of working environment by scattering of the lubricant and exhibiting stable lubricity.SOLUTION: There is provided a fire retardant solid lubricant having projection area of 50 to 3000 mmand B/√A of 1/55 to 1/1.4 where the projection area is A mmand average thickness is B mm. Further a fire retardant solid lubricant having total length of 10 to 60 mm and maximum value of length to the total length of 1/20 to 1/2 is preferable.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】潤滑剤のガス化を抑制して、ガス化した分の潤滑剤を追加投入する必要性をなくし、ガス化に伴う発火や引火の危険性を低減し、また、これにより、二酸化炭素の発生を削減しつつ、好適な難燃性を発揮させ、更に、潤滑剤の計量性を向上させ、潤滑剤の飛散による作業環境の汚染を低減し、安定した潤滑性を発揮させる難燃性固形潤滑剤の提供。【解決手段】投影面積が50〜3000mm2であり、前記投影面積をAmm2、平均厚さをBmmとしたときに、B/√Aが、1/55〜1/1.4となる、難燃性固形潤滑剤に関する。更に、全長が10〜60mmであり、厚さの最大値が全長に対して1/20〜1/2である難燃性固形潤滑剤であることが好ましい。【選択図】なし
