Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter which can smoothly pass through the curved blood vessel and can increase kink resistance of a reinforcement body.SOLUTION: An inner shaft 50 is provided with a distal end side irregular shape part 53 and a rear end side irregular shape part 57. A bulge part 91 provided at the end of a core wire 90 is movable in an axial direction between the distal end side irregular shape part 53 and the rear end side irregular shape part 57. Thus, passage through the curved blood vessel is possible, and kink resistance of the core wire 90 can be improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】湾曲した血管内を円滑に通過することができ、補強体の耐キンク性を向上することができるバルーンカテーテルを提供する。【解決手段】インナーシャフト５０に、先端側異形部５３と後端側異形部５７とを設け、コアワイヤ９０の先端に設けた膨隆部９１が、先端側異形部５３と後端側異形部５７との間で軸方向に移動可能となるようにした。これにより、湾曲した血管内を円滑に通過することができ、コアワイヤ９０の耐キンク性を向上することができる。【選択図】図３
