Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image of high image quality by making control correction data controllable in a short time without excessively enlarging circuit scale, and making a white balance within a screen of a display device uniform using the correction data.SOLUTION: The display device comprises: an in-plane white balance correction part (11) storing a plurality of correction data items in which a plurality of predetermined gradations of a video signal are made correspondent to chromaticity differentials for correcting the video signal, in association with measuring points of a plurality of chromaticities that are set within the screen, and using the first correction data to correct the video signal to be displayed within a screen of a display part in accordance with a position within the screen; and a reference point gamma/white balance correction part (12) storing second correction data determining an output gradation corresponding to an input gradation of the video signal for each of RGB, and using the second correction data to correct the video signal outputted from the in-plane white balance correction part (11) in accordance with a common input and output relation within the screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】回路規模を過度に増大させることなく、補正データを短時間に調整可能であり、この補正データを用いて表示装置の画面内のホワイトバランスを均一化し、高画質な画像を表示する。【解決手段】表示装置は、映像信号の所定の複数の階調と、映像信号を補正する色度差分とを対応付けた第1補正データを、画面内に設定された複数の色度の測定点に関連付けて複数格納し、第1補正データを用いて、表示部の画面内に表示させる映像信号を画面内の位置に応じて補正する面内ホワイトバランス補正部(11)と、映像信号の入力階調に対応付けた出力階調をRGBのそれぞれについて定めた第2補正データを格納し、第2補正データを用いて、面内ホワイトバランス補正部(11)から出力された映像信号を、画面内で共通の入力と出力の関係により補正する基準点ガンマ・ホワイトバランス補正部(12)とを有する。【選択図】図2
