Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet discrimination device capable of discriminating a state change of a bank note through image data.SOLUTION: The paper sheet discrimination device having a plurality of electrode groups for forming an electric field in space where a paper sheet 200 passes, comprises: a control unit 3 which generates a control signal for applying voltage with predetermined frequency to the electrode groups on the basis of a clock signal; a drive unit 4 which forms an electric field by applying voltage to the electrode groups on the basis of the control signal; and a capacitance detection circuit 1 which detects change of the electric field based on the capacitance formed by the plurality of electrode groups and the paper sheet 200 and outputs the detected change of the electric field as a plurality of pulse signals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】紙幣の状態変化を画像データで判別できる紙葉類判別装置を提供する。【解決手段】紙葉類200を通過する空間に電界を形成するための複数の電極群を備えた紙葉類判別装置であって、クロック信号に基づいて、電極群に所定の周波数を有する電圧を印加するための制御信号を生成する制御部3と、制御信号に基づいて、電極群に電圧を印加して電界を形成する駆動部4と、複数の電極群と紙葉類200とで形成される静電容量に基づく電界の変化を検出し、当該検出された電界の変化を、複数のパルス信号として出力する静電容量検出回路1とを備える。【選択図】図1
