Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piano which can reinforce a register that a player expects, and decrease volume of sound as a whole.SOLUTION: A piano comprises: a cabinet; a bridge which regulates length of a string; a linkage member which links a plate-like member forming a part of the cabinet with the bridge and in which transfer characteristic of vibration from the bridge to the plate-like member is variable; and control means which controls change of the transfer characteristic. The control means may include means supplying at least one part of the linkage member with energy.
