Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction material capable of improving abnormal sound property under moisture absorption condition without deteriorating properties such as fading resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a friction material composition having 5 to 30 mass% of spherical and porous alkali metal salt with an average particle diameter of 20 to 240 μm.
