Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing float glass, capable of suppressing a pressure fluctuation in a float bus and a dross box and the intrusion of outside air to contribute to manufacturing a thin sheet glass having high quality.SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing float glass comprises: a float bus for storing a molten metal; a slow cooling furnace conveying a glass ribbon molded in a band plate shape on the molten metal; a dross box provided between the float bus and the slow cooling furnace; and drapes provided in the dross box and arranged above a plurality of lift out rolls for conveying the glass ribbon from the float bus to the slow cooling furnace. The drape has reinforcing means on the downstream side in the conveying direction of the glass ribbon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】本発明は、フロートバス及びドロスボックス内の圧力変動や外気の侵入を抑制して、高い品質の薄板ガラスの製造に寄与できるフロートガラスの製造装置を提供する。【解決手段】溶融金属を収容するフロートバスと、溶融金属上で帯板状に成形されたガラスリボンが搬入される徐冷炉と、フロートバスと徐冷炉との間に設けられるドロスボックスと、該ドロスボックス内に設けられ、フロートバスから徐冷炉にガラスリボンを搬送する複数のリフトアウトロールの上部に配置されたドレープとを備えたフロートガラスの製造装置であって、ドレープは、ガラスリボンの搬送方向の下流側に補強手段を設けている。【選択図】図1
