Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head for preventing heat generated by an energy generating element from being transferred to one portion on a substrate in a converging manner.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head with at least one energy generating element that generates heat used for discharging a liquid, comprises: an insulation layer provided in contact with a substrate and supporting the energy generating element; at least one heat transfer layer composed of a material of heat conductivity higher than that of the material of the insulation layer, and provided in the insulation layer between the energy generating element and the substrate; and a heat transfer member that thermally connects the at least one heat transfer layer and the substrate.
