PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stave cooler deformation correction method capable of suppressing a cost for replacing a stave cooler.SOLUTION: In a method for correcting thermal deformation generated in a stave cooler 10 mounted to an in-furnace side wall of a shell 20 forming a furnace wall of a vertical furnace, a through hole 22 is formed in the shell 20 and a long member 30 is inserted through the through hole 22, one end of the long member 30 is fixed to a deformed part 15 curved toward the inside of the furnace by thermal deformation of the stave cooler 10, and the long member 30 is pulled to the other end side thereof by a pulling device disposed outside the furnace to correct the deformed part 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ステーブクーラーの交換費用を抑制可能なステーブクーラーの変形矯正方法を提供する。【解決手段】竪型炉の炉壁を構成する鉄皮２０の炉内側面に取付けられたステーブクーラー１０に生じた熱変形を矯正する方法であって、鉄皮２０に貫通孔２０を形成して貫通孔２２に長尺物３０を挿通するとともに、長尺物３０の一端をステーブクーラー１０の熱変形で炉内側に湾曲した変形部分１５に固定して、炉外に配置された引張装置で長尺物３０をその他端側へ引っ張り変形部分１５を矯正する。【選択図】図２
