Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, in the case where a fuel amount is small, air entrainment occurs in a fuel sucked by a fuel pump due to a structure of a fuel pump suction port, the necessary fuel cannot be supplied and, in the worst case, an engine stall occurs.SOLUTION: A fuel supply system includes: a fuel tank 11 for storing a fuel supplied to a fuel injection valve 22 of an internal combustion engine; a fuel level sensor 14 for detecting a fuel amount in the fuel tank; a fuel pump 12 for delivering the fuel in the fuel tank to the fuel injection valve; and fuel pump motor control means 181 for controlling a current value supplied to a motor of the fuel pump and for adjusting the pressure of the fuel supplied to the fuel injection valve 22. The fuel pump motor control means 181, in the case where the detection value of the fuel level sensor 14 is below a predetermined value, makes a control current value supplied to the motor of the fuel pump 12 larger than that in the case where the detection value of the fuel level sensor 14 is equal to or larger than the predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】燃料量が少ない場合に、燃料ポンプ吸入口の構造上、燃料ポンプが吸い上げる燃料にエア噛みが発生し、必要な燃料を供給出来ずに最悪エンストするといった問題が生じる。【解決手段】内燃機関の燃料噴射弁22に供給される燃料を貯留する燃料タンク11と、この燃料タンク内の燃料量を検出する燃料レベルセンサ14と、燃料タンク内の燃料を燃料噴射弁に送る燃料ポンプ12と、この燃料ポンプのモータに供給する電流値を制御して燃料噴射弁22に供給する燃料の圧力を調整する燃料ポンプモータ制御手段181を備え、燃料ポンプモータ制御手段181は、燃料ポンプ12のモータに供給する制御電流値を、燃料レベルセンサ14の検出値が所定値未満の場合に、燃料レベルセンサ14の検出値が所定値以上の場合より大きくする。【選択図】図1
