Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart different characteristics to various regions of a product while decreasing the number of elements and materials used in the product.SOLUTION: A nonwoven fabric can be formed from a plurality of thermoplastic polymer filaments. The nonwoven fabric has a first region and a second region. The filaments of the first region may be fused to a greater fusion degree than the filaments of the second region. The nonwoven fabric can be incorporated in various products, such as clothing (for example, shirts, trousers, and footwear). In some of these products, the nonwoven fabric is joined with another fabric element to form a seam. Specifically, an end edge region of the nonwoven fabric may be thermally fused to an end edge region of the other fabric element at the seam.
