Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active energy ray-curable varnish composition excellent in adhesiveness to a support substrate, glossiness of a coating film, decorating property and yellow discoloration resistance while maintaining storage stability of a varnish.SOLUTION: The active energy ray-curable varnish composition is used for such a printed matter that is produced by coating a paper substrate with an active energy ray-curable varnish composition, laminating a polyolefin film with the coated surface, irradiating the laminate with active energy rays through the polyolefin film to cure the varnish composition on the coating surface, and then removing the polyolefin film. (1) The active energy ray-curable varnish composition comprises a styrene-acrylic resin (A), a polymerizable monomer (B) having at least one (meth)acryloyl group in the molecule, a photopolymerization initiator (C), wax (D), and an alkanol amine-based sensitizer (E). (2) The styrene-acrylic resin (A) is prepared by copolymerizing a styrene monomer (a1) and a (meth)acrylate monomer (a2).SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】ワニスの貯蔵安定性を維持しつつ、支持基材への密着性、塗膜の光沢感、美粧性、耐黄変性に優れる活性エネルギー線硬化型ワニス組成物の提供。【解決手段】紙基材上に、活性エネルギー線硬化性ワニス組成物を塗布し、該塗布面にポリオレフィンフィルムを貼り合わせ、該ポリオレフィンフィルムを透して活性エネルギー線を照射して前記塗布面のワニス組成物を硬化させ、その後に該ポリオレフィンフィルムを剥離させてなる印刷物に用いる活性エネルギー線硬化性ワニス組成物。1)活性エネルギー線硬化性ワニス組成物がスチレン−アクリル樹脂(A)、分子内に(メタ)アクリロイル基を少なくとも1個有する重合性単量体(B)、光重合開始剤(C)、ワックス(D)、アルカノールアミン系増感剤(E)を含む。2)スチレン−アクリル樹脂(A)が、スチレン系単量体(a1)と(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単量体(a2)を共重合させてなる。【選択図】なし
