Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glossiness providing device that, when providing glossiness onto both faces of a recording medium, cools a surface onto which glossiness has already been provided to improve the quality of a glossiness image during double-sided printing.SOLUTION: There is provided a glossiness providing device 300 comprising: an endless belt 24 that conveys a recording medium P while in contact with a recording agent on the recording medium P for providing glossiness to the recording agent; a heating member 21 that has the endless belt 24 wound therearound; a pressure member 34 that applies pressure to the endless belt 24 between the heating member 21 and the pressure member; a cooling roller 91 that has the pressure member 34 wound therearound; a pressure cooling part 13 that cools the cooling roller 91 by using a liquid L; and a first housing part 310 that is arranged to surround the endless belt 24, heating member 21, pressure member 34, and cooling roller 91.
