Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attenuate an arc generated between the cut ends when cutting a conductor, by a simpler configuration.SOLUTION: A conduction cutout device C moves a cut member 50 to the arc-extinguishing chamber 32 side by the gas from a gas producer and cuts the cutting part 22 of a conductor 20, thereafter makes a pair of cut ends 23, 24 spaced apart from each other generated in the cutting part 22, thus interrupting conduction between electrical apparatus. In this conduction cutout device C, an arc attenuation material 60 principally composed of a material having electrical insulating properties and shape followability is used. Before the cutting part 22 is cut by means of the cut member 50, this arc attenuation material 60 is disposed in contact with a target, i.e., at least a part of a region on the inner wall surface of the arc-extinguishing chamber 32, between a place where one of both cut ends 23, 24 approaches and a place where the other approaches after the cutting part 22 is cut.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】導電体の切断に伴い切断端間で発生したアークを、より簡単な構成で減衰させる。【解決手段】導通遮断装置Cは、ガス発生器からのガスによって切断部材50を消弧室32側へ移動させて導電体20の被切断部22を切断し、その被切断部22に、互いに離間した状態の一対の切断端23,24を生じさせ、電気機器間の導通を遮断する。この導通遮断装置Cにおいて、主成分が電気絶縁性及び形状追従性を有する物質により構成されるアーク減衰材60が用いられる。このアーク減衰材60は、切断部材50による被切断部22の切断前には、消弧室32の内壁面であって、同被切断部22の切断後に両切断端23,24の一方が接近する箇所と他方が接近する箇所との間の領域の少なくとも一部を対象とし、同対象に接触した状態で配設される。【選択図】図4
