Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet which can be produced at low cost and is excellent in image quality; and to provide a method for producing the thermal transfer image receiving sheet.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermal transfer image receiving sheet which has a polyolefin resin layer, a porous film layer, an undercoat layer and a dye receiving layer on one surface of a base material in this order, where the base material and the porous film layer are stuck to each other through the polyolefin resin layer by extrusion sandwich lamination, arithmetic average roughness (SRa) of a surface in an opposite side of a surface facing the polyolefin resin layer in the porous film layer is set at 0.8 μm or less, and 5° reflectance at a wavelength of 550 nm of the surface of the dye receiving layer is set at 1% or more and 8% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】低コストにて製造でき、且つ画質に優れた熱転写受像シート及び熱転写受像シートの製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】熱転写受像シートが、基材の一方の面上に、ポリオレフィン樹脂層、多孔質フィルム層、下引き層及び染料受容層をこの順で有してなり、前記基材と前記多孔質フィルム層とが、前記ポリオレフィン樹脂層を介して押出サンドイッチラミネーションにて貼り合わされており、前記多孔質フィルム層の前記ポリオレフィン樹脂層に対向する面の反対側の面の算術平均粗さ(SRa)を0.8μm以下とし、且つ前記染料受容層表面の波長550nmにおける5°反射率を1%以上8%以下とする。【選択図】図1
