Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: In winter or in a cold district, the volume of a resistance increases because a temperature of a power storage apparatus itself in a power storage system lowers; therefore, there has been an attempt of decreasing the volume of such a resistance by heating the power storage apparatus itself; however, mere heating with a heater or the like would cause much cost for installation or maintenance of the heater.SOLUTION: The power storage system includes a controller which monitors a temperature, a voltage or a current of a power storage apparatus and controls its charge and discharge, and measures a surface temperature of a storage battery in the power storage apparatus and when the temperature is not more than a predetermined lower-limit temperature, performs rapid charge and discharge (pulse charge and discharge ) for a short time within a preset voltage range, thereby raising a temperature of the power storage apparatus. Thus, the power storage system can increase a service period of the power storage apparatus, improve charge and discharge characteristics and minimize the number of instruments required for heating.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】冬季や寒冷地では蓄電システム内の蓄電装置自体の温度が低下するため、抵抗が増大することになる。このため、蓄電装置自体を加熱することにより、抵抗を低くする試みがある。しかし、単純にヒータ等を用いて加熱する場合、ヒータの設置やそのメンテナンス等に費用がかかることになる。【解決手段】蓄電装置の温度、電圧、電流等を監視し、その充放電等を制御する制御装置を有し、該蓄電装置内の蓄電池の表面温度を計測し、設定した下限温度以下にあった場合に、設定電圧範囲内で短時間の急速充放電(パルス充放電)を行い、蓄電装置の温度を上昇させることができる。蓄電装置の使用期間を延ばし、かつ充放電特性を向上させると共に、加熱のために要する器具等を最小限にすることができる。【選択図】図2
