PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical simulation device and method and a program, enabling calculation costs to be suppressed and light emitted from a matter to be accurately simulated.SOLUTION: The optical simulation device comprises: an optical characteristic acquisition part 11 which acquires the optical characteristics of a matter; a table conversion part 12 which converts the optical characteristics to a table set in which a probability distribution type table and an intensity distribution type table are combined; a surface shape information acquisition part 13 which acquires information on the surface shape of the matter; and a simulation part 14 which simulates the light emitted from the matter, on the basis of the information on the surface shape and the table set.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】計算コストを抑制し、かつ高精度に物体からの出射光をシミュレーションすることができる光学シミュレーション装置および方法並びにプログラムを提供する。【解決手段】物体の光学特性を取得する光学特性取得部１１と、光学特性を確率分布型のテーブルと強度分布型のテーブルとを組み合わせたテーブルセットに変換するテーブル変換部１２と、物体の表面形状の情報を取得する表面形状情報取得部１３と、表面形状の情報とテーブルセットとに基づいて、物体からの出射光をシミュレーションするシミュレーション部１４とを備える。【選択図】図１
