Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply determining presence/absence of a polymer long-chain branch structure by viscoelasticity measurement, and further determining an amount of the long-chain branch structures.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, concentration conversion G' and concentration conversion G" are obtained by measurement of angular frequency dependence of a storage elastic modulus G' and a loss elastic modulus G" of a solution that is composed of 100-10 mass% of polymer and 0-90 mass% of a soluble solvent. The long-chain structure analysis method determines presence/absence of a long-chain branch from a ratio of Y [Y/Y(where Yis a value obtained from a measured value of 100 mass% of polymer solution, and Yis a value obtained from a measured value of 30 mass% of polymer solution)] that is defined as Y=G'/C(where C represents a concentration of solution.) when relationship of concentration conversion G' and concentration conversion G" becomes X=G"/C=20,000 Pa.SELECTED DRAWING: None
