Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy absorber capable of efficiently absorbing energy while improving productive efficiency.SOLUTION: An energy absorber 10 includes a body part 14 having such a closed cross section structure that a weld line 34 is formed by subjecting a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin to injection molding. Openings 16, 18 at both ends of the body part 14 are formed into a polygonal shape. In side surfaces 14a, 14b of the body part 14 in which the weld line 34 is formed, with respect to a reference line L connecting middle points of respective sides 14c, 14d on both end sides of the body part 14, an inclination angle θ2 of the weld line 34 is set within a range of -35° to 35°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】生産効率の向上を図りつつ、エネルギーを効率的に吸収可能なエネルギー吸収体を提供する。【解決手段】エネルギー吸収体10は、繊維強化熱可塑性樹脂を射出成形することによりウェルドライン34が形成された閉断面構造の本体部14を備える。本体部14の両端の開口16、18は多角形状である。ウェルドライン34が形成される本体部14の側面14a、14bのうち、本体部14の両端側の辺14c、14dの各々の中点同士を結ぶ基準線Lに対し、ウェルドライン34の傾斜角度θ2が−35°〜35°の範囲内に設定されている。【選択図】図2
