Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace retrofitting bearing wall method and a structure of a panel construction method building, which allow reconstruction to be carried out while residents live in the building and make a panel frame of an existing non-bearing wall panel into a bearing wall panel by adding a brace even if the panel frame of the existing non-bearing wall panel cannot sufficiently bear a load from the added brace.SOLUTION: A brace retrofitting bearing wall method of a panel construction method building makes an existing non-bearing wall panel 1 into a bearing wall panel. This method includes following processes: to remove an exterior face material 5 and a heat insulation material 12 from the non-bearing wall panel 1; to connect a reinforcing plate 13 by a fastening tool 14 to upper and lower ends of a vertical frame material 3 that is exposed by the removing process; to fit a brace 15 with gusset plates 16 on both ends to upper and lower ends of the vertical frame material 3; to dispose the heat insulation material 12 inside a panel frame 2; and to fit the exterior face material 5 to the panel frame 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 居住者が住みながら改築工事を行なうことができ、かつ既設の非耐力壁パネルのパネルフレームが追加のブレースによる荷重に対する負担に不十分な部材であっても、ブレースの追加により耐力壁パネルとして成り立たせることができるパネル工法建物のブレース後付け耐力壁化工法、および構造を提供する。【解決手段】 既設の非耐力壁パネル1を耐力壁パネルとするパネル工法建物のブレース後付け耐力壁化工法である。この工法は、非耐力壁パネル1から外装面材5および断熱材12を撤去する過程と、撤去により露出した縦フレーム材3の上下端に補強プレート13を固着具14により接合する過程とを含む。また、両端にガセットプレート16を有するブレース15を縦フレーム材3の上下端に取付ける過程と、断熱材12をパネルフレーム2の内側に配置する過程と、外装面材5をパネルフレーム2に取付ける過程とを含む。【選択図】 図1
