PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus capable of suppressing that the fuzz of a recorded medium contacts a nozzle formation surface thereby to cause a discharge failure.SOLUTION: A recording apparatus comprises: a recording head 7 having a nozzle formation surface 20, on which a nozzle N capable of discharging a liquid is formed; a moving part for relatively moving a recorded medium and the recording head 7; and a protection part 22 disposed on the beginning side of the recording head 7 in the relative moving direction B of the relative movement for contacting the fuzz of the recorded medium in accordance with the relative movement, to push down the fuzz thereby to protect the nozzle formation surface 20.
