PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide phytocannabinoid or a combination of phytocannabinoids useful for treating specific forms of seizure associated with epilepsy.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to methods for using one or more cannabinoids in the treatment of epilepsy. More particularly, the invention relates to methods for using one or a combination of cannabinoids in the treatment of generalized seizure or partial seizure. The invention also relates to use of tetrahydrocannabinoid (THCV) as a pure or isolated compound, or a plant extract in which naturally occurring tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is selectively removed by 5% by weight with respect to any cannabinoid.
