PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operator of a crane to instantaneously recognize a moving direction of a hook displayed on a display unit of an image display device.SOLUTION: An image display device includes: a display unit 10 for displaying an image P that is captured by a monitoring camera 300 mounted on a boom of a crane and includes a hook hung from the boom with a wire rope; an operational signal acquiring unit 20 for acquiring operational signals S output by an operation input to an operating unit 820 for moving the hook; and a moving direction calculating unit 30 for calculating a moving direction of the hook relative to a horizontal plane by an operation input to the operating unit 820 on the basis of the operational signals S acquired by the operational signal acquiring unit 20.
