Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mainly provide a thermosensitive recording medium which is high in recording density and excellent in light resistant preservability and thermal background fogging resistance of a recording part in a yellow hue area.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermosensitive recording medium which comprise a thermosensitive recording layer containing a dye precursor and a developer on one surface of a support, in which the thermal recording layer contains a specific dye precursor represented by the general formula (1) and a phenol compound represented by the general formula (2). The phenol compound represented by the general formula (2) preferably is one selected from the group consisting of 2,2'-methylenebis(4-methyl-6-tert-butylphenol) and 2,2'-methylenebis(4-ethyl-6-tert-butylphenol).SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】本発明は、黄色の色相域において、記録濃度が高く、記録部の耐光保存性と耐熱地肌カブリ性に優れる感熱記録体を提供することを主な目的とする。【解決手段】支持体の一方の面に染料前駆体と顕色剤を含有する感熱記録層を備えた感熱記録体において、感熱記録層が一般式(1)で表される特定の染料前駆体と、一般式(2)で表されるフェノール化合物を含有することを特徴とする感熱記録体。一般式(2)で表されるフェノール化合物が、2,2'−メチレンビス(4−メチル−6−tert−ブチルフェノール)及び2,2'−メチレンビス(4−エチル−6−tert−ブチルフェノール)からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種であることが好ましい。【選択図】なし
