PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for applying slurry for catalysts, in which a monolith type catalyst having good quality and high performance can be produced at low cost.SOLUTION: A device 10 for applying slurry for catalysts includes: a feed frame 8 for feeding the slurry to a plurality of distribution holes 2 from one end of a honeycomb substrate 1; and a blower 7 for evacuating a wind box 12. An annular resistor 5 is attached to an opening 11b of the wind box 12 and the honeycomb substrate 1 is disposed on the annular resistor 5 while interposing a spacer 6 therebetween. When the blower 7 is operated and the slurry is fed, the width of the coated slurry, which is applied to the distribution holes 2 existing in the outer peripheral zone 2b of the honeycomb substrate 1, becomes shorter than that of the coated slurry, which is applied to the distribution holes 2 existing in the central zone 2a of the honeycomb substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 品質が良く性能が高いモノリス型触媒を安価に製造できる触媒用スラリーの塗布装置を提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】 塗布装置１０は、ハニカム基材１の一端から複数の流通孔２にスラリーを供給する供給枠８と風箱１２を真空引きするブロア７を備えている。風箱１２の開口１１ｂには、環状の抵抗体５が取り付けられ、スペーサー６を介して抵抗体５の上にハニカム基材１が配置される。ブロア７を作動してスラリーを供給すると、ハニカム基材１の中央領域２ａにある流通孔２に塗布されるスラリーのコート幅より外周領域２ｂにある流通孔２に塗布されるスラリーのコート幅の方が短くなる。【選択図】 図１
