Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float glass ribbon capable of suppressing wavy deformation in the molding step, and a method for manufacturing a float glass plate.SOLUTION: A float glass ribbon 14 has 800 mm or more of a width and 0.25 mm or less of an average plate thickness in an intermediate region between a position separated by 400 mm on the inner side in the width direction from one end in the width direction and a position separated by 400 mm on the inner side in the width direction from the other end in the width direction. The plate thickness distribution in the width direction satisfies the following formulae. T0≥T1, T0≥T2, T0; a plate thickness at the center in the width direction in the intermediate region, T1; the minimum plate thickness in a first region having a distance within 0.4×W on the inner side in the width direction from one end in the width direction in the intermediate region, T2; the minimum plate thickness of a second region having a distance within 0.4×W on the inner side in the width direction from the other end in the width direction in the intermediate region and W; the width of the intermediate region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
