PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detector and a rotation angle detector that can calculate a temperature of a resolver in real time.SOLUTION: A rotation angle detector 10 (temperature detector) includes: a resolver 20 with an excitation coil receiving application of an excitation voltage VA and output coils outputting voltage signals VB and VC corresponding to the excitation voltage VA wound; and a temperature calculating section (sensor microcomputer 32) detecting the respective phases of the excitation voltage VA and an excitation current IA and calculating the temperature of the resolver 20 based on the phase difference between the excitation voltage VA and the excitation current IA.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】リアルタイムにレゾルバの温度を演算することのできる温度検出装置及び回転角検出装置を提供することにある。【解決手段】回転角検出装置１０（温度検出装置）は、励磁電圧ＶＡが印加される励磁コイル及び励磁電圧ＶＡに応じた各電圧信号ＶＢ，ＶＣを出力する各出力コイルが巻回されてなるレゾルバ２０と、励磁電圧ＶＡについて位相を検出するとともに、励磁電流ＩＡについて位相を検出する温度演算部（センサマイコン３２）を備える。そして、温度演算部（センサマイコン３２）は、励磁電圧ＶＡと励磁電流ＩＡとの位相差に基づきレゾルバ２０における温度を演算する。【選択図】図１
