Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required for identifying defect occurence factors more than when employing a structure which searches data base storing logs to acquire a target log.SOLUTION: An image forming device 100 comprises a log memorizing portion 350 that records a log for each type of defects occurring in the image forming device 100 and a log analyzing portion 360 that analyzes factors by which defect events occur. Further, the log analyzing portion 360 comprises: a factor analyzing table storing portion that stores a factor analyzing table in which a correlation between defect occurrence factors to be analyzed and types of defective logs required to determine the defect occurrence factors to be analyzed is defined; and a factor determining portion that determines the defect occurrence factors to be analyzed, on the basis of the types of the logs in which information matching the information about defects to be analyzed of the logs recorded in the log memorizing portion 350 and the factor analyzing table.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ログを蓄積したデータベースを検索して該当のログを取得する構成を採用した場合に比べて、不具合の発生要因を特定するための時間を短縮する。【解決手段】画像形成装置１００は、画像形成装置１００にて発生した不具合の種別ごとにログを記録するログ記憶部３５０と、不具合事象が発生した要因を分析するログ分析部３６０とを備える。また、ログ分析部３６０は、分析対象である不具合の発生要因と、分析対象である不具合の発生要因の判定に必要な不具合のログの種別との相関を定義した要因分析テーブルを格納する要因分析テーブル格納部と、ログ記憶部３５０に記録されたログのうち分析対象である不具合の情報に合致する情報が含まれるログの種別と、要因分析テーブルとにより、分析対象である不具合の発生要因を判定する要因判定部とを有している。【選択図】図１
