Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a groove grinder capable of measuring a size with a relatively simple configuration without attaching/detaching a workpiece or the like in the grinder.SOLUTION: A groove grinder measures position information about a plurality of preset places of one axial direction of a plurality of partial groove surfaces of a groove formed in a workpiece peripheral surface after the groove has been roughly formed in the workpiece peripheral surface, calculates the shifting amount of a virtual ball brought into contact with the partial groove surface from the target center position of a center position based on the measured position information and target groove shape data which is the target shape data of the groove formed in the workpiece peripheral surface, and calculates the center coordinates of the virtual ball brought into contact with the groove surface based on the calculated shifting amount. Further, the groove grinder calculates a size error for the target groove shape of the groove formed in the workpiece peripheral surface based on the calculated center coordinates, and then executes finish processing of the groove based on the calculated size error.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 【課題】装置内においてワークの着脱等を行うことなく比較的単純な構成で寸法測定を行うことが可能な溝研削装置を提供する。【解決手段】ワーク周面への溝の粗加工後に、ワーク周面に形成された溝の複数の溝部分表面の予め設定した1軸方向の複数箇所の位置情報を測定し、測定した位置情報と、ワーク周面に形成する溝の目標形状データである目標溝形状データとに基づき、溝部分表面に接触する仮想ボールの中心位置の目標中心位置とのズレ量を算出し、算出したズレ量に基づき、溝表面に接触する仮想ボールの中心座標を算出する。更に、算出した中心座標に基づき、ワーク周面に形成された溝の目標溝形状に対する寸法誤差を算出する。そして、算出した寸法誤差に基づき溝の仕上加工を行う。【選択図】 図9
