PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly form an oil membrane on an inner cylinder surface of a cylinder bore.SOLUTION: An oil supply apparatus 10 is equipped with a gutter body portion disposed adjacent to an inner cylinder surface 12a of a cylinder bore 12 and having an opening toward an upper side of the cylinder bore 12. A plane surface including the opening of the gutter body is positioned on an upper side than the cylinder bore 12 than a tip end 13b1 of a piston skirt 13b at a lower dead point of a piston 13 sliding in the cylinder bore 12.
