Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin optical characteristic calculation device, method, and program, and skin simulation image display controller that are capable of calculating a more accurate skin optical characteristic to make it possible to evaluate a subtle change in texture of a skin.SOLUTION: A skin optical characteristic calculation device comprises: a skin surface characteristic calculation unit 12 for analyzing, by using electromagnetic field optics, a skin surface model modeled on a skin's surface structure to calculate an electric field distribution of the skin surface model; a skin internal characteristic calculation unit 13 for analyzing, by using geometric optics, a skin internal model modeled on the skin's internal structure to calculate a light scattering characteristic of the skin internal model; and an optical characteristic calculation unit 14 that calculates an optical characteristic of the skin surface model on the basis of the electric field distribution of the skin surface model, and combines the optical characteristic of the skin surface model with the light scattering characteristic of the skin internal model to calculate an optical characteristic of the whole skin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】より精度の高い肌の光学特性を算出することができ、微妙な肌の質感変化を評価可能な肌光学特性算出装置、方法およびプログラム並びに肌シミュレーション画像表示制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】肌の表面構造をモデル化した肌表面モデルを電磁場光学を用いて解析することによって肌表面モデルの電場分布を算出する肌表面特性算出部12と、肌の内部構造をモデル化した肌内部モデルを幾何光学を用いて解析することによって肌内部モデルの光の散乱特性を算出する肌内部特性算出部13と、肌表面モデルの電場分布に基づいて肌表面モデルの光学特性を算出し、その肌表面モデルの光学特性と肌内部モデルの光の散乱特性とを結合して肌全体の光学特性を算出する光学特性算出部14とを備える。【選択図】図1
