Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power controller capable of equalizing the power each other by the storage batteries, when the batteries are connected in series between the positive electrode line and the neutral line, and between the neutral line and the negative electrode line, and a DC power is supplied by means of three lines, i.e., the positive electrode line, neutral line and negative electrode line.SOLUTION: A power controller includes a comparison unit for acquiring the charging status of a first battery and a second battery therefrom and comparing them, and a power control unit for controlling the power transfer between the first and second batteries based on the comparison results from the comparison unit so that the charging status of the first battery and second battery is equalized. The power control unit controls the power transfer between the first and second batteries through a bidirectional step-up/down chopper circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
