Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester composition resolving low polymerization activity with using a reactive organic phosphorus compound, having high molecular weight and excellent in flame retardancy depending on specific compositions, and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided a flame retardant polyester composition obtained by polymerizing an organic phosphorus compound with a specific structure having an ester linkable functional group of 1000 to 20000 ppm in terms of phosphorus atom in the resulting polyester composition, and containing a polycondensation catalyst consisting of particles of a solid base having a coating layer consisting of titanate of 0.1 to 50 pts.wt. in terms of TiObased on 100 pts.wt. of the solid base of 5 to 50 ppm in terms of titanium atom in the resulting polyester composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】反応型の有機リン化合物を使用する際の重合活性の低さを解決し、特定の組成によって、高分子量であり且つ難燃性に優れたポリエステル組成物とその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】エステル結合可能な官能基を有する特定構造の有機リン化合物を、得られたポリエステル組成物中にリン原子換算で1000〜20000ppm重合したポリエステル組成物であって、固体塩基100重量部に対してTiO2換算で0.1〜50重量部のチタン酸からなる被覆層を有する固体塩基の粒子からなる重縮合触媒を、得られたポリエステル組成物中にチタン原子換算で5〜50ppm含有することを特徴とする難燃性ポリエステル組成物。【選択図】なし
