Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting mold wash capable of preventing the occurrences of defects, in which a casing molten metal of 1500°C±100°C to 600°C±100°C is produced by the fact that an organic material of a binder (such as gilsonite, phenol resin or the like) is thermally decomposed to produce out gases thereby to form uneven parts such as pin holes or gas vent defective parts in the casting surface, thereby to produce a casting having a smooth cast skin.SOLUTION: A casting mold wash is applied to the surface of a casting mold sand, and can stand a wide temperature range of 1500°C±100°C to 600°C±100°C. The casting mold wash contains metal oxide as the surface defect preventing agent of the castings. Said metal oxide is a sludge produced at a plating factory. The casting mold wash is characterized in that the liquid flux is mixed with that sludge and applied to the casting sand surfaces so that the low-melting-point glass seals the generated gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】1500℃±100℃〜600℃±100℃による鋳造湯は、鋳造砂の粘結剤(ギルソナイト、フエノールレジン等)の有機物が熱分解してアウトガスを生じて鋳物表面にピンホールやガス抜け欠陥部の凸凹が発生する。これらの欠陥の発生を防止し鋳肌の滑らかな鋳造品を作る事が出来る鋳造用塗型剤を提供する。【解決手段】鋳造鋳型砂表面に塗布され、1500℃±100℃〜600℃±100℃迄の広い温度範囲に耐える塗型剤であって、鋳造物の表面欠陥防止剤として酸化金属を含有し、前記酸化金属は鍍金工場にて発生するスラッジとし、このスラッジに液体フラックスを混合して鋳造鋳型砂表面に塗布して、発生ガスをシールする低融点ガラスにしてなることを特徴とする鋳造用塗型剤。【選択図】図1
