Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing seed crystal addition method beta type zeolite capable of reducing an environmental load as possible without using an organic structure control agent.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing beta type zeolite comprising a process where a reaction mixture including a silica source, an alumina source, an alkali source and water and seed crystals made of beta type zeolite are mixed, and the mixture is heated. As the seed crystals, beta type zeolite synthesized without using an organic structure control agent, and, in a grain size distribution by a laser diffraction scattering type grain size distribution measurement method, the volume standard of the grains with a grain size of 10 μm or lower is 90% or higher is used.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】有機構造規定剤を用いず、環境負荷を可能な限り低減できる種結晶添加法ベータ型ゼオライトの製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明のベータ型ゼオライトの製造方法は、シリカ源、アルミナ源、アルカリ源及び水を含む反応混合物と、ベータ型ゼオライトからなる種結晶とを混合して加熱する工程を有する。前記種結晶として、有機構造規定剤を使用することなしに合成され、且つレーザー回折散乱式粒度分布測定法による粒子径分布において、粒子径10μm以下の粒子が体積基準で90%以上であるベータ型ゼオライトを用いた。【選択図】図1
