Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of a hull by sufficiently securing a steering angle in turning when a plurality of outboard motors are disposed in parallel on the hull, and improve turning performance of the hull by securing thrust of the outer outboard motor in turning.SOLUTION: A left bank of an engine 11 is provided with a left exhaust passage 41 communicated to an exhaust port disposed on the left bank and including a catalyst converter 53 inside, at an outer side in an outboard motor width direction with respect to a cylinder, and a right bank of the engine 11 is provided with a right exhaust passage 42 communicated to an exhaust port disposed on the right bank and including a catalyst converter 53 inside, at an outer side in the outboard motor width direction with respect to the cylinder. A drive shaft 22 for transmitting driving force from the engine 11 disposed at an upper portion to a propeller 25 disposed at a lower portion, is vertically disposed on an outboard motor main body 10A, and central positions O of the left exhaust passage and the right exhaust passage are located at a front part with respect to the drive shaft 22 in a longitudinal direction of the outboard motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】船外機を船体に複数台並設したときに、旋回時の操舵角を十分に確保して船体の操縦性を向上できると共に、旋回時に外側の船外機の推力を確保して船体の旋回性能を向上できること。【解決手段】エンジン11の左バンクには、シリンダよりも船外機幅方向の外側に、左バンクに設けられた排気ポートに連通すると共に内部に触媒コンバータ53を備えた左排気通路41が設けられ、エンジン11の右バンクには、シリンダよりも船外機幅方向の外側に、右バンクに設けられた排気ポートに連通すると共に内部に触媒コンバータ53を備えた右排気通路42が設けられ、船外機本体10Aには、上部に設置されたエンジン11からの駆動力を、下部に設置されたプロペラ25に伝達するドライブシャフト22が鉛直方向に配置され、左排気通路及び右排気通路の中心位置Oが、船外機の前後方向においてドライブシャフト22よりも前方に位置づけられて構成されたものである。【選択図】 図4 |
