Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for purifying exhaust gas exhausted from a gasoline engine of a vehicle and flowing in an exhaust pipe, capable of detecting the amount of particulate matters contained in the exhaust gas passing through a filter while performing filter regeneration processing.SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device includes an electric insulation material 141 to which the particulate matters are attached, and a plurality of electrodes 142, 142 provided at a space from each other. A PM sensor 14 for detecting the attached amount of the particulate matters PM on the basis of electric conductivity between the electrodes 142, 142 is provided at a site 1 m or more apart from a downstream end 122 of a purifying function part 10 within the passage length of an exhaust pipe 300, or at a site where the temperature of exhaust gas flowing after warming-up operation of a gasoline engine 100 is 450°C or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】車両のガソリンエンジンから排出され排気配管を流れる排出ガスを浄化する排出ガス浄化装置であって、フィルタの再生処理を行いながらも、フィルタを通過した排出ガスに含まれる粒子状物質の量を検出することができる排出ガス浄化装置を提供する。【解決手段】粒子状物質を付着させる電気絶縁材141と、互いに離間して設けられる複数の電極142,142と、を有し、電極142,142間の電気伝導性に基づいて粒子状物質PMの付着量を検出するPMセンサ14は、排気配管300の経路長さで浄化機能部10の下流端122から1m以上離間した部位、又は、ガソリンエンジン100の暖機運転後に流れる排出ガスの温度が450℃以下である部位、に設けられている。【選択図】図3
