Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte excellent in high temperature durability and safety without impairing cycle life characteristics and input/output characteristics, a lithium ion secondary battery using the electrolyte, and an electric apparatus using the lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION: An electrolyte for a lithium ion secondary battery contains methyl-γ-butyrolactone, and further contains a cyclic ester that has not other carbon-carbon double bonds. Assuming that the total of methyl-γ-butyrolactone and a cyclic ester that has not other carbon-carbon double bond is 100 vol.%, the electrolyte for a lithium ion secondary battery contains 25-85 vol.% of the methyl-γ-butyrolactone, and 15-75 vol.% of the cyclic ester that has not other carbon-carbon double bonds, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】サイクル寿命特性や入出力特性を損なうことなく、高温耐久性、安全性に優れた電解液、この電解液を用いたリチウムイオン二次電池及びこれを用いた電気機器を提供する。【解決手段】メチル−γ−ブチロラクトンを含有し、その他の炭素−炭素二重結合を有しない環状エステルを更に含有し、メチル−γ−ブチロラクトンとその他の炭素−炭素二重結合を有しない環状エステルを合計100体積%とした場合、メチル−γ−ブチロラクトンを25〜85体積%、他の炭素−炭素二重結合を有しない環状エステルを15〜75体積%それぞれ含有するリチウムイオン二次電池用電解液。【選択図】なし
