PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an image forming system with which: even when a sheet including a glue, such as a label sheet is used, and the glue is protruded from the ends of the sheet by application of pressure to the sheet during transfer of a toner image to the sheet, the protruded glue is prevented from being adhered to an image carrier.SOLUTION: A disk-shape inserter member 10 is rotatably interposed between the outer peripheral surface of an intermediate transfer belt 221 and ends 300 of label sheets L1 and L2 facing the outer peripheral surface so that a peripheral part 10B of the inserter member is overlapped with the ends of the label sheets L1 and L2. The inserter member 10 is arranged at each of both right and left ends of the intermediate transfer belt 221 so that, even when a glue is protruded from both ends of the label sheets L1 and L2 due to a pressure applied to the sheets L1 and L2 when a toner image is transferred to the sheets L1 and L2, transition of the glue to the intermediate transfer belt 221 can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】ラベル用紙などの糊を含む用紙を使用した場合で、該用紙へのトナー像の転写の際に該用紙が圧を受けることで用紙端部から糊がはみ出ても、はみ出た糊の像担持体への付着を防止することができる画像形成装置および画像形成システムを提供する。【解決手段】円盤形状のインサーター部材１０を、中間転写ベルト２２１の外周面と該外周面と対向するラベル用紙Ｌ１，Ｌ２の端部３００の面との間で、その周縁部分１０Ｂがラベル用紙Ｌ１，Ｌ２の端部に重なるように回転可能に介在させる。インサーター部材１０を中間転写ベルト２２１の左右両端側のそれぞれに配置して、ラベル用紙Ｌ１，Ｌ２にトナー像を転写する際に該用紙Ｌ１，Ｌ２が受ける圧によって該用紙Ｌ１，Ｌ２の両端から糊がはみ出ても、その糊の中間転写ベルト２２１への転移を抑制できる。【選択図】図３
