Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning system capable of measuring the position of a person to be positioned even if a base station becomes unusable because of a blackout derived from a disaster such as an earthquake or thunderbolt.SOLUTION: In a positioning system, handheld terminals directly transmit or receive a radio wave. A positioning person handheld terminal 12 includes reference azimuth designation means that designates a reference azimuth L1 of a handheld terminal 12, bearing calculation means that measures the intensities of radio waves, which are originated from plural persons-to-be-positioned handheld terminals (for example, 22a to 22d), direction by direction by rotating the handheld terminal 12, and calculates the bearings of respective handheld terminals 22 with respect to the reference azimuth L1 when the radio wave intensities become highest, distance calculation means that calculates the distances from the handheld terminal 12 to the respective handheld terminals 22 by collating the intensities of the radio waves, which are originated from the respective handheld terminals 22 at the calculated bearings, with the correlation between the radio wave intensities and distance attenuation levels, and position display means that displays in coordinates the positions of the respective handheld terminals 22, which are determined with the bearings and distances and centered on the handheld terminal 12, together with the reference azimuth L1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】地震や落雷等の災害時に停電が発生して基地局が利用不能に陥っても、被測位者の位置を測位することができる測位システムを提供する。【解決手段】携帯端末同士の電波の直接送受信による測位システムとし、測位者携帯端末12は、携帯端末12の基準方位L1を設定する基準方位設定手段と、複数の被測位者携帯端末(例えば、22a〜22d)から発信された電波の強度を携帯端末12を回転させて方向別に測定し、電波強度が最も高くなったときの基準方位L1に対する各携帯端末22の方角を算定する方角算定手段と、算定された方角における各携帯端末22から発信された電波の強度を電波強度と距離減衰との相関関係に当てはめて携帯端末12に対する各携帯端末22の距離を算定する距離算定手段と、携帯端末12を中心とした各携帯端末22の前記方角と距離で定められる位置を基準方位L1とともに座標上に表示する位置表示手段とを有する。【選択図】図3
