Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure pump capable of preventing falling of a plunger irrespective of an attachment direction of the plunger to a cylinder.SOLUTION: A pump body 11 of a high pressure pump 1 has a pressurizing chamber 15 formed in a deep portion of a cylinder 10. A plunger 40 reciprocatingly arranged inside the cylinder 10 varies the volume of the pressurizing chamber 15. A delivery passage 19 and a supply passage 18 are formed in the pump body 11 in such a manner of being extended to a radial direction of the cylinder 10 from the pressurizing chamber 15. A pin 60 provided on an end of the plunger 40 which is positioned in the pressurizing chamber 15 is protruded outer than an inner circumference of the cylinder 10 toward one side in a radial direction of the plunger 40. Accordingly, the pin 60 is fitted to a step portion 36 between the cylinder 10 and the pressurizing chamber 15 before the high pressure pump 1 is attached to an internal combustion engine, and falling of the plunger 40 from the cylinder 10 can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 プランジャのシリンダへの組み付け方向に関わらずプランジャの脱落を防ぐことの可能な高圧ポンプを提供する。【解決手段】高圧ポンプ1のポンプボディ11は、シリンダ10の深部に形成される加圧室15を有する。シリンダ10の内側に往復移動可能に設けられるプランジャ40は、加圧室15の容積を可変する。吐出通路19及び供給通路18は、加圧室15からシリンダ10の径方向に延びるようにポンプボディ11に形成される。加圧室15に位置するプランジャ40の端部に設けられたピン60は、プランジャ40の径方向の一方へ向けてシリンダ10の内周よりも外側へ突出する。これにより、内燃機関に高圧ポンプ1を取り付ける前の状態で、シリンダ10と加圧室15との段差部分36にピン60が係止され、プランジャ40はシリンダ10からの脱落が防がれる。【選択図】図1
