Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular collision detection device that enables improvement of reliability of communications between impact detection means and collision determination means by using a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A transmission section 23 of an impact sensor 2 transmits detection signals G01-G08 formed based on an impact applied to a vehicle to an air bag ECU 3 sequentially. A first comparison section 32a of the air bag ECU 3 compares current values of the detection signals G01-G08 with a first detection threshold value DTh1. A second comparison section 32b compares the current values of the detection signals G01-G08 with a second detection threshold value DTh2. A communication abnormality detection section 33 of the air bag ECU 3 determines that communications between the impact sensor 2 and the air bag ECU 3 are normal when comparison results obtained by both of the comparison sections 32a, 32b are the same as each other. When the comparison results obtained by both of the comparison sections 32a, 32b are different from each other, the communication abnormality detection section 33 determines that an abnormality occurs in the communications between the impact sensor 2 and the air bag ECU 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】簡単な構成によって、衝撃検出手段と衝突判定手段との間の通信の信頼性を向上できる車両用衝突検出装置の提供。【解決手段】衝撃センサ2の送信部23は、車両に加えられた衝撃に基づいて形成された検出信号G01〜G08を、順次、エアバッグECU3に送信する。エアバッグECU3の第1比較部32aは、検出信号G01〜G08の電流値を第1検出閾値DTh1と比較する。また、第2比較部32bは、検出信号G01〜G08の電流値を第2検出閾値DTh2と比較する。エアバッグECU3の通信異常検出部33は、双方の比較部32a、32bによる比較結果が互いに同じ場合、衝撃センサ2とエアバッグECU3との間における通信が正常であると判定する。通信異常検出部33は、双方の比較部32a、32bによる比較結果が互いに異なる場合、衝撃センサ2とエアバッグECU3との間における通信に異常が発生したと判定する。【選択図】図2
