Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator which unfailingly prevents gas leakage during operating time and crush of a gas generating agent during non-operating time and is easily manufactured at lower costs.SOLUTION: A gas generator 1A includes: a housing including a top plate part 21 and a bottom plate part 11; a cylindrical filter 90; a gas generating agent 61 composed of particulate moldings; and a metal pressing member 80A. The pressing member 80A has: a first contact part 81 configured to contact with the filter 90 and having a cylindrical plate shape; a second contact part 82 configured to contact with a substantially center part of the top plate part 21; and a connection part 83 which connects the first contact part with the second contact part and has an annular plate shape. The connection part 83 includes a plate spring part 84 which is formed so that a distance from the top plate part 21 gradually increases from the second contact part 82 to the first contact part 81. A part of the gas generating agent 61 is stored in a storage space 89 defined by the second contact part 82 and the plate spring part 84. The structure allows the plate spring part 84 to elastically bias the gas generating agent 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】作動時におけるガスの漏れ出しと非作動時におけるガス発生剤の破砕とが確実に防止でき、さらにはより安価にかつ容易に製造することができるガス発生器を提供する。【解決手段】ガス発生器1Aは、天板部21および底板部11を含むハウジングと、筒状のフィルタ90と、複数の粒状成形体からなるガス発生剤61と、金属製の押さえ部材80Aとを備える。押さえ部材80Aは、フィルタ90に当接する筒板状の第1当接部81と、天板部21の略中央部に当接する第2当接部82と、これらを接続する環状板形状の接続部83とを有する。接続部83は、第2当接部82から第1当接部81に向かうにつれて天板部21との間の距離が漸増する板バネ部84を含む。ガス発生剤61の一部は、第2当接部82と板バネ部84とによって規定される収容空間89に収容され、これにより板バネ部84によってガス発生剤61が弾性付勢される。【選択図】図1
